Planning a Pajama Party
We appreciate your interest in hosting a Pajama Party to collect new books and new pajamas for children in need. With a Pajama Party, you invite your family and close friends over during the daytime. Everyone wears pajamas, and that’s where the nighttime fun during the day begins! To help make the day both fun and rewarding, we've put together some party planning tools for you and your preschooler.
To get you started:
- Invitations — Who will you invite to your Pajama Party? The invitations are already made; now have your preschooler help fill them out and get them in the mail!
- Printables and Activities — Choose from themed crafts, recipes and printables specially chosen for a Pajama Party, including a Decorate Your Own Pajamas coloring activity!
- Gather a Bedtime Story or Two — Let your preschooler choose a favorite bedtime story that you will read aloud to your party guests.
- Thank You Wristbands — In addition to learning about sharing, reinforce with your preschooler the importance of saying “thanks.” At the end of the party, send each guest home wearing a Thank You Wristband.
After the party:
- Mail In Donations (PDF) — Send in the new books and new pajamas you collected at your party, along with the downloadable donation form, to the address shown on the form. You can also send personal checks to this address; be sure the checks are made payable to the “Pajama Program” and that you write “The Great Sprout Tuck-In” on the memo line.
- Donate Online — If you collected money during the party or would like to make a monetary donation yourself, you can send funds securely using a major credit card through our partners at the Pajama Program.
- Tell Us About Your Party — We'd love to hear from Sprout families who have hosted or attended a party! Send us a photo and tell us about your party. You can see what others have shared on the Our Success page.
