Farm Frenzy Freeze Dance

Supplies

• CD player and a festive music CD
• Farm animal costume elements (masks, ears or tails), and small animal figurines
• Large straw hat
• Large space to dance

Instructions

At the party:
 

1. Kids take turns pulling animal masks out of a hat and putting them on. (Alternatively, they can select animal figurines)  Each child will have a different animal.
2. An adult plays music and the players use their imagination to dance like their chosen animal.
3. When the volume is turned up loud, players dance rapidly and exuberantly, and when the volume is turned down low, players dance slowly and cautiously.
4. When the music stops, the players must freeze in place as their chosen animal. When frozen, the players can also make noises like their animal!
5. Players try to hold their freeze position until the music starts up again.
