Terrarium

Make your own terrarium!

Supplies: 
  • 1 plastic soda bottle (2-liter size), label removed
  • Potting soil
  • Pebbles
  • Marker
  • Tape
  • Safety scissors
Instructions: 
  1. Draw a line around the bottle, 6 inches from the bottom. As straight around as possible.
  2. Using safety scissors, cut bottle along the line.
  3. Place a handful of pebbles on bottom half. 1 to 2 inches deep.
  4. Place soil on top. Fill to about 1 inch from top.
  5. Then plant seeds. 6 to 10 seeds about 1 inch deep into the soil.
  6. Add water, so soil is moist, not soaked.
  7. Add crafted lady bug or other crafted insect (optional).
  8. Place top half back on bottom.
  9. Cap on bottle.
  10. Place in the sun.
