Philadelphia, PA - September 9, 2009 - Sprout, the first 24-hour
preschool destination
available on TV, on demand and online for kids ages 2-5 and
their parents and
caregivers, will debut a new season of its signature nighttime
block The Good Night
Show, as well as the animated series Rubbadubbers™ from HIT
Entertainment, on Monday,
September 21, 2009. Sprout will also unveil its refreshed
on-air look and feel that
same day, capturing the uniquely hands-on, personalized world of
Sprout through new
graphic packages and promos that feature parents and kids
interacting in a handmade
Sprout world.
Designed as a tool to help parents wind down their
children after a busy day and be part
of a shared bedtime routine, The Good Night Show is hosted by
Nina and her puppet friend
Star and airs every night from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET. Nina
plays games, sings songs,
makes crafts, reads stories and teaches words in Spanish and
sign language as she helps
Star - an adorable, star-shaped puppet representing the
preschool-aged child - get ready
for a good night's sleep. Each hosted segment within the
block is pared to
approximately three minutes and is surrounded by short
five-to-ten minute segments of
trusted Sprout programming, such as Thomas and Friends™ and
Caillou, to make it easier
for parents to use Sprout when and how they need it.
Additionally, SproutOnline.com
will be launching an updated microsite, featuring all new crafts
and games from the new
season.
Debuting within the new season of The Good Night Show is
Rubbadubbers, a fun, animated
series that turns bath time into a world of imagination and
fantastic adventure.
Rubbadubbers inspires children to believe that they can be
anything they want to be, as
each story whisks the characters from an ordinary bathroom into
a wonderful world of
creative adventure. Tubb the frog, who is the "leader of
the bath," takes his friends
Finbar (a wind-up toy shark), Sploshy (the starfish-shaped
sponge), Terence (the
crocodile-shaped bubble bath bottle), Winona (the squeaky toy
whale), Reg (the
battery-operated robot) and Amelia (the flying submarine) on a
new adventure each
episode.
