BOO! IT’S FRIENDLY GHOSTS AND GOBLINS ON PBS KIDS SPROUT℠’S HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR

Halloween-themed programming to air October 29 through November 2

Philadelphia, PA - October 10, 2007 - PBS KIDS Sprout, the first and only 24-hour preschool destination available on TV, on demand and online for kids ages 2-5 and their parents and caregivers, will feature playfully spooky episodes of Sprout viewer favorites such as Thomas & Friends™, Dragon Tales™, Bob The Builder™, Barney & Friends™ and The Hoobs™, beginning October 29 through November 2.  Additionally, SproutOnline.com is featuring a special Halloween section including video highlights of children making homemade costumes and crafts; a Halloween photo contest inviting kids and their families to dress up like Chica the Chicken from The Sunny Side Up Show; and various Halloween themed games and activities.

Sprout's original program hosts for The Sunny Side Up Show, The Let's Go Show and The Good Night Show will also be getting in on the round-the-clock Halloween fun on October 31 with special Halloween-themed games, crafts and dress up parties.  Nina from Sprout's The Good Night Show will be guest hosting live on The Sunny Side Up Show each morning from 9:00 a.m. to noon ET during Halloween week, where she will show preschoolers how to create their own masks, costumes and crafts.  She will also be designing pumpkins and showcasing viewer-submitted photos, including the Halloween photo contest entrants, cards and crafts with the morning show sidekick Chica the Chicken.  Also on Halloween, The Let's Go Show and The Good Night Show will both feature dress up themed shows with fun activities surrounding dress up parties and creating stories.

Featured episodes during Halloween week include:

• Thomas & Friends™ "Haunted Henry" - Edward scares Henry with his stories about ghosts in the mist.  A strange ghostly figure near the viaduct saves Henry from certain danger.
• Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks™ "Good Neighbor" - Piggley and his friends (inspired by a spooky radio program) are convinced that the young boy whose family just moved into the small house up the lane from the Winks' farm is actually a mad scientist.
• Angelina Ballerina™ "Henry's Halloween" - Henry thinks he's seen a mythical witch on Halloween night,

• The Hoobs ™ "Fancy Dress" The Hoobs have been invited to a Tiddlypeeps' fancy dress party.  But what are they going to wear?
• Sagwa: The Chinese Siamese Cat™ "Fraidy Cats" - Yeh Yeh begins telling scary stories to the kittens until their imagination gets the best of them.  A windy night and a clumsy Fu-Fu cause Sheegwa to jump to conclusions about a ghost in the house.
• Dragon Tales™  "Putting the Fun in Funhouse" - Ord really wants to go into the new funhouse at the carnival, but he's scared.  It's really dark in there and who knows what's around each corner!  The gang vows to help him cope with his fear.
