Sprout, the first 24-hour preschool destination available on TV,
on demand and online for kids ages 2-5 and their parents and
caregivers, is marking the Thanksgiving holiday with the "Sprout's
Thanks-For-Giving Week" celebration beginning Monday, November 23,
2009.
The Sunny Side Up Show's Sean and his puppet friend Chica the
Chicken will venture out of the Sunshine Barn to thank important
community helpers who make everyone's lives better, safer and more
beautiful, including teachers, firefighters, policemen and farmers
to name just a few. Sprout viewers can send in their notes,
videos and artwork about people in their lives for whom they are
thankful by visiting SproutOnline.com. Submissions will be
featured on-air throughout the week. On Thanksgiving
Day, parents and their preschoolers can call in live to The Sunny
Side Up Show between 9:00 a.m. and noon ET and share their thoughts
on why they are thankful this season. Additionally, viewers
can tune-in for the premier of a new Thanksgiving Good Night Show
episode at 6:00 p.m. EDT. SproutOnline.com has all the details,
plus fun Thanksgiving Hand Turkey crafts.
Sprout is also kicking off the second year of the network's
Great Sprout Tuck-In campaign to benefit the national Pajama
Program which delivers new pajamas and new books to children in
need. Since its inception in October 2008, the Great Sprout Tuck-In
has provided pajamas and books to over 65,000 children
nationwide. Sprout is encouraging viewers to visit
SproutOnline.com to learn more about how families can host their
own pajama parties and donation drives. The Great Sprout
Tuck-In is being sponsored again for the second consecutive year by
Johnson's Bedtime Bath and Bedtime Lotion.
