they prepare a healthy Thanksgiving feast and introduce thankful
themed episodes of Sprout's gold-standard programming, such as
Sesame Street®, Barney & Friends™ and Jay Jay the Jet Plane™
. Viewers will also enjoy seeing hand turkeys that were
created by Sprout characters like Elmo, Barney, Bob the Builder™,

be making a hand-turkey on The Birthday Show.
Sprout's website (www.sproutonline.com) will
feature a special Thanksgiving recipe from the Sprout Diner and
instructions for making Thanksgiving Hand Turkey crafts so that
parents and children can create their own Thanksgiving Day
fun.
Thanksgiving Day also marks the beginning of PBS KIDS Sprout's
"Sprout Diner Contest." Parents, along with their children,
are encouraged to submit a healthy recipe named for Thomas the Tank
Engine™ (for example, "Choo Choo Chopped Salad" or "Thomas' Tasty
Tomato Dip"). Sprout will be accepting contest entries
through the end of December and winner will be chosen in the new
year. The winning recipe will be animated and presented
on an upcoming episode of Sprout Diner. For the official
