SPROUT® SHOWS 59% YEAR-OVER-YEAR HOUSEHOLD DELIVERY RATINGS GROWTH IN APRIL 2012, MAKING IT THE NETWORK’S HIGHEST-RATED MONTH EVER

Sprout garners largest percentage household delivery ratings growth among all kids networks measured

Philadelphia, PA - May 4, 2012 - 24-hour preschool television channel Sprout marked an impressive 59% year-over-year increase in total household ratings (0.22 coverage area rating) in April 2012, making it the network's highest-rated month ever, according to Nielsen. Sprout's household ratings gain vs. a year ago was higher than any other kids' networks measured, including Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network, Nick Jr., Disney XD, Nicktoons and The Hub.  Across all cable networks, Sprout netted the fourth highest year-over-year household percentage gain, trailing only Fuel, NFL Network and GMC.


Additionally, Sprout has reported year-to-year double-digit percentage gains across all key demos (households, kids 2-5, kids 2-11 and women 18-49) in each of the last five consecutive months.  "Sprout is the only kids' network with double-digit percentage gains across households, kids 2-11 and women 18-49," said Sandy Wax, president of Sprout.  "This growth comes at a particularly good time for Sprout following the release of Beta Research's Brand Identity study showing Sprout ranking as the #1 network among female viewers in terms of likelihood to buy advertised product seen on a network."


For the month of April 2012, Sprout also reported its highest U.S. reach across all key demos including total persons (23.8MM), kids 2-5 (4.1MM), kids 2-11 (7.5MM) and women 18-49 (5.5MM).  Among kids 2-11, Sprout averaged 55.8 minutes per tuning event, its highest live length-of-tune in the kids 2-11 demo since launch.
