SPROUT® CELEBRATES THE SPRING SEASON WITH THE PREMIERE OF SUPER WHY ON MARCH 21

Spring will be Sprouting when the SUPER WHY “Super Readers” join the on-air lineup every day at 3:00 p.m. ET

Philadelphia, PA - March 1, 2011 - 24-hour preschool television channel Sprout is celebrating the arrival of spring with the debut of the breakthrough preschool series SUPER WHY on Monday, March 21 at 3:00 p.m. ET.   The series, designed to help preschoolers develop critical skills that they need for reading, will debut on Sprout during The Sprout Sharing Show.  SUPER WHY makes reading an empowering and interactive adventure for families by using literacy games to encourage viewers to participate. Recommended by the National Reading Panel, the show incorporates alphabet skills, word families, spelling, comprehension and vocabulary.

"SUPER WHY is a great addition to our programming lineup because it supports Sprout's mission of creating opportunities for parents and kids to share and learn together, "said Andrew Beecham, senior vice president, programming, Sprout.

Other spring arrivals include new episodes of Thomas & Friends™, enhanced with CG animation, Barney & Friends™, and Dive Olly Dive, all premiering within The Sunny Side Up Show from 9:00 a.m. to noon ET. Additionally, new episodes of Sesame Street will air everyday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
