Supplies: 

Xylophone

  • 1 cardboard tube (from roll of wrapping paper), cut into 6 pieces (7-inches, 5 1/2-inches, 4 1/2-inches, 4 inches, 3 1/2-inches, 3-inches)
  • 2 16-inches by 2 1/2-inches cardboard rectangles
  • 6 different colors of construction paper, one piece of each
  • All-purpose white glue
  • Safety scissors 

Mallets

  • 1 pair of chopsticks
  • 20 small black fuzzy balls
  • All-purpose white glue
Instructions: 

Xylophone

  1. Take your six cardboard rolls and glue a different color of construction paper around each one.
  2. Glue the six rolls in order from shortest to longest onto the two cardboard rectangles.
  3. Taa Daa! Now you have your very own xylophone to play! 

Mallets

  1. Glue 10 balls each to the pointy end of each of the chopsticks in a ball formation.
  2. Use your mallets to play your new xylophone!
