Supplies:
- 1 paper bag, lunch size
- Brown and black construction paper
- Black markers
- Pencil
- All-purpose white glue
- Safety scissors
Instructions:
- To make the kangaroo's ears, draw 2 large triangles on brown construction paper and cut them out.
- For the kangaroo's nose, draw 1 small triangle on white construction paper and cut it out.
- For the tip of the kangaroo's triangle nose, draw 1 small circle on black construction paper and cut it out.
- Glue the small black triangle to the bottom of the kangaroo's triangle nose.
- Lay the paper lunch bag flat on your working surface, smooth side down. The "flap tab" of the bag will be your kangaroo's face.
- Glue the small triangle nose onto the middle of the flap tab.
- Glue the large triangle ears onto either side of the top of the flap tab.
- Using the black marker, drawer 2 circles above the nose to make eyes.
- Draw 2 kangaroo arms on brown construction paper and cut them out. Glue 1 on each side of the bag.
- For the kangaroo's belly, draw 1 large circle on white construction paper and cut it out. Glue it onto the middle of the bag.
- Draw a 1/2 circle on brown construction paper and cut it out.
- Put a line of glue on the bottom curve of the 1/2 circle only, so the top edge is glue-free.
- To make the pouch, attach the 1/2 circle to the bottom of the belly, straight edge up!
- Once the pouch is dry, cut out a picture of a small kangaroo, and place it in the big kangaroo's pouch!
