Supplies:
  • 1 square tissue box
  • Aluminium foil
  • Orange paint
  • All-purpose white glue
  • Piece of cardboard (to make the roof)
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Tape
  • Sticky putty
  • Paper plate for mixing glue and finger painting
  • Dog Bone Treats
Instructions:
  1. Cover tissue box in aluminium foil, keeping the surface as flat as possible.
  2. Smooth any loose bits by covering them with tape.
  3. Mix orange paint and white glue (half and half).
  4. To make the paw prints, dip the finger you point with into the orange paint and glue mixture. On the aluminium foil, make two fingerprints next to one another, slightly overlapping at one end to make a sort of heart shape. (This shape makes the middle of the doggy footprint.)
  5. Using the same finger, make two fingerprint dots next to one another at the top of the first shape you made.
  6. Dip your pinky finger into the paint and print two dots, one on each side of the other dots you just made.
  7. Repeat lots of times until you have many paw prints covering the box. Leave to dry.
  8. To make the roof of the house, take a piece of cardboard and fold it in half. Add popsicle sticks lengthwise along each slope of the roof. Slightly overlap each stick. To adhere them to the cardboard, use glue or sticky putty. (Sticky putty is faster and neater but may not last as long.)
  9. Use tape to attach the roof to the tissue box so that the opening (door) is that the front.
  10. Fill with dog bone treats. Once your doggy has munched his way through the treats, you can use the house as a home for your favorite little soft doggy toy.
